His films may not get my topmost ratings, but director Brady Mayo’s work is always interesting. If you were to categorize it, the terms twink and amateur would both apply. Often he films in and around campgrounds, so you get indoor and outdoor scenes and water play (not to be confused with watersports). Mayo will hire a bunch of cute models, find a location, make several films, then repeat with a new bunch of guys and a new location.

While the films are amateur, they are not clumsy. Mayo can aim a camera properly, frame a scene, and light a set so that you’re not left in the dark or blinded by the light. Corny dialog, while not quite a hallmark of his films, pops up every now and then, as it does in Hot for Twinks, when part of the foreplay for coverboy KC Morgan and tousled blond Mitch Hart consists of saying silly things like “I wanna put my thingy in your thingy” and “You’re like a puzzle; let’s put our pieces together.” (All the dialog in this film is subtitled, by the way, even though it is spoken in English.)

This is all by way of saying that Mayo has his own way of interpreting the niche his films occupy and he’s not cranking out formulaic or by-the-numbers “boys fucking” films.

The aforementioned Morgan and Hart both look good enough to eat, a bit of corny sentiment I’m surprised they didn’t use on each other. They suck, 69 and flip-fuck each other on a bed in a cabin. According to the interviews, it was Hart’s first time bottoming. Both of them (and others in the film) have furry legs, balls, crack and crotch and it’s refreshing and sexy. Watching twinks who have removed every single hair below the levels of their earlobes in order to look younger than they are, either on their own or at the director’s insistence, creeps me out. It’s OK to be young and to celebrate your youth sexually, without being infantile about it.

By the way, when Hart climaxes, his jism shoots across the bed, causing Morgan to hold his hand up to deflect it and look at the camera as if to say, “are you getting this?”

Blake Carter, Brock Nelson and Italy interrupt their game of Frisbee for sex, starting with blow jobs in the grass then moving into the cabin recently occupied by KC and Mitch. Italy has a few tats and more than a few muscles on his light frame, and he’s happy to put his hiney in the air for poking by his buds.

When JD Stone finds out his boyfriend is cheating on him he gets even by fucking Alex Christianson. Their tryst happens in the living room and bedroom of Alex’s house. There’s not a lot of chemistry, but Alex clearly likes having a live cock in his ass. His attitude towards JD is along the lines of, “You just lie back and keep your dick hard while I have a good time.” You don’t get much of a chance to look at JD’s butt, but it’s a nice one.

Brad Bones and Gavin Stone are sucking each other out in the Frisbee area. Gavin has a lean street-fighter look, with jailhouse-style tats, a post in his eyebrow and randomly frosted, clipped hair. He looks like he’d have a skateboard attached to him. They remain outdoors. Gavin lets Brad fuck him; he doesn’t seem to get much pleasure out of it but it fits his persona — “this is what I do.”

The last scene rivals the first as the best in the film, and a lot of that is due to the energy of Axel Johnson. Axel and Chaz Kramer are getting two-timed by cute Kyle Baglie. Each thinks he’s Kyle’s only boyfriend … until Axel shows up unexpectedly at Kyle’s house and finds him in bed with Chaz. Chaz defuses the situation by telling Kyle he picked a cute other boyfriend and suggesting they continue as a threesome. Axel has milk-white skin and nice abs, and reminds one a bit of Brent Everett; his cock is fat, especially in the middle, where it’s very fat. But, in this scene anyway, Axel is a bottom.

Axel squeaks and squeals and his energy drives the action. He gets fucked by Chaz and Kyle, and when he’s got a cock in him, his hips never stop moving. There’s some distracting background noise in part of this scene, like the neighbors are arguing. It ends with Axel getting his eyelids glued shut by the spunk of Chaz and Kyle.

The sexual energy displayed by Axel Johnson adds a lot of heat to his scene. He ought to give lessons to his fellow models, or the director should show this scene as a training film to models before they shoot their scenes. It’s the one thing Mayo’s films could benefit from most.
