Naked travel often brings one north of the border and we can't be luckier. Toronto (gaytorontotourism.com) is one of Canada's gay-friendliest cities, boasting a compact and vibrant gay village, lots of festivals and events, and a number of naked treats. Toronto is so gay appealing that the creators of Queer as Folk used it as a stand-in for Pittsburgh. They allowed us a view not only of the buildings and neighborhoods, but also of the hunks that populate that region. And nakedly attractive they are. Situated between Yonge and Jarvis, and between Bloor and McGill, Toronto's gay village, also called Boystown, are blocks of gay entertainment, bars/clubs, shops, eateries and more. Church and Wellesley is the main intersection and a focal point for the community. Some of those hunks you'll see belong to Totally Naked Toronto Men Enjoying Nudity. TNT!MEN (tntmen.abuzar.net/tnt) is a fun group of men you may find at any of the venues below. They take advantage of naked opportunities and make it their business to create a few of their own. You'll find them helping out at the Black Eagle on naked nights or carousing the halls of Spa Excess. And you'll certainly find them at Toronto's nude beach at Hanlan's Point. All through Boystown, you'll find something fun, but these are some of the best. Fly (flynightclub.com), QAF's Babylon for a while, is a hot dance club, as anyone can tell you. Great sound and lights along with some of the best dance music and lots of sweaty, shirtless men make this a must-see stop for the Naked Traveler. Every Friday they run Dance Camp; sign up for a session and see what it does for your self-esteem. Of course, there's a real Babylon in Toronto, which has three floors and boasts 250 different martinis. Guzzle your way through the list, if you must, but there's lots more that awaits. For the Naked Traveler there are several high spots. First among them is Remington's, Toronto's glitzy, steamy strip venue. Two floors and three bars and stages - stages filled with fleshly delights. Currently, a Playgirl centerfold is a featured attraction. They dance, strip and entertain gaggles of men daily from mid afternoon until 2am. But it doesn't stop there. There's a VIP lounge where private dances cost a modest fee per song. Naked fun continues at Woody's (woodystoronto.com), the same one mentioned on QAF. Thursdays are Bare Chest Contest nights. A tradition which nets the winner a cool $200? A naked bribe to get luscious men onstage? Who knows? But it's been working for a long time. And because that's so popular, on Saturdays a Best Legs contest has been added; the same $200 lure reels them in. If leather is your thing, The Black Eagle (blackeagletoronto.com) is the place to go. Thursdays are special here, too! Shirtless Thursdays bring the boys out as do Rough Trade Tuesdays. Fridays and Saturdays there's a dress code, so clad at least part of your body in leather or denim. Zelda's (zeldas.ca) goes them one better: a Best Ass contest. The prize is only 100 bucks but the naked sights you'll see are worth far more. Zelda's is the place for any nakedly inclined traveler. A restaurant, a bar, a club, Zelda's is at the epicenter - Church and Wellesley. The patio bar affords you one of the best people-watching sites in town. Lena Over and Justine Time host the Saturday night theme shows and the Best Ass contest. They also serve brunch, with the first Sunday of every month a Leather Brunch. How many naked leather travelers will go in chaps and nothing more? You've gotta go to see. A sure bet for naked aficionados is the set of spas/baths Toronto offers. The Steamworks (steamworksonline.com/toronto) is billed as Toronto's largest legal cruise and play space. It features a huge hot tub, a full gym, steam, sauna and private rooms. All of it is brand spanking new. (Well, maybe not spanking.) Club Toronto offers a similar setting, as does the central spa. But the prize for daring and an adventurous spirit has to go to Spa Excess (spaexcess.com). Even the name makes your flesh tingle with anticipation. An upscale spa, the four floors offer almost everything a naked traveler can ask for. The best is "Deep, Dark, and Naked" Fridays. Music to the Naked Traveler's ears. Come early because at a certain hour they turn off all the lights - all of them - and a deep darkness veils the place. It's a darkness that's alive, however and pulses with desire. Guys must feel their way through the maze of rooms, lockers, and equipment. You'll find yourself brushing past the lusciously smooth torso of ... who? Until the lights come on next morning, you'll never know. There are lots more places, lots more events all waiting for you to discover them. Toronto can be a naked adventure. All you have to do is cross that line.
