Sleepy little Switzerland, isn't really sleeping, it's lying in wait under the covers and you'll be surprised what slips out from between the sheets in this place. It's no neutral zone when it comes to men and gay life. Zurich is Switzerland's largest city and a center for all sorts of things. It's no stranger to gay life and the naked traveler shouldn't have a problem having a good time here. Zurich has the hustle and bustle of a busy city, if that's what you like. But it also has plenty of laid-back, European charm and men for miles. The naked delights begin as soon as you leave the airport. Cranberry (www.cranberry.ch) is wildly popular and you're nakedly likely to meet the Swiss man of your dreams here. The crowd is young but there is enough variety to make you feel comfortable; at the very least, you can sit back and watch the fun. Hot men dancing till they just have to shed some clothing is never a dull sight. There's also a buffet (except in summer) and an upstairs game room. The Männerzone bar is worth a visit just for the name but the men and the theme will keep you there. If you like looking at a man's man, this is the place. The garage theme recalls all those old porn flicks where the attendants are nude and have auto grease appropriately smeared here and there. Well, the mechanics serving the drinks will keep those images in your mind. And they just may give you the tune-up you're looking for. Those into leather, latex, and things military will have an especially nakedly good time here. For a relaxing time, the Predigerhof (www.predigerhof.ch) is a small place with some cuties on the staff. You'll find this a little break from the rest of the things to do. As with any city for the naked traveler, the more naked flesh the better. And the places to see that flesh are the saunas. Zurich has a few. Some are extravagantly done, some are small and cozy, and all of them have naked men. Moustache (www.moustache.ch) is a fun place to go and offers an amazing variety of rooms and places to play. It has a large and well-equipped bar should you need to bolster your courage in order to meet the guys. But there are also showers, a steam room, and two saunas - the kind you're used to, and then there's the bio-sauna which is a lot larger. Private rooms are all in one large area and then there are the lounges, a "chill out" area, massage rooms and more. For the divas in the crowd, there's even a dressing room of sorts where you can sit before a mirror like a movie star and get your face on just right. Of course, the naked sights will make you swoon - Swiss men have an indefinable quality and when you see that quality undressed, you'll understand. The Brasil (www.gaysaunaclubbrasil.com) is a fun place that attracts a varied crown, and it uses lots of clever promotions to do it. If you're partnered and play together, every Monday is your day: two men in one room for the price of one. Of course, if you're single and you've met an adorable Swiss guy and can't go back to your hotel with him, this promotion will allow you to get cozy, too. Tuesdays the fee is dirt cheap. Thursdays, if you're a bear (you've gotta weigh more than 120 kg - don't ask the Naked Traveler to convert this to pounds) then you get in free. On Fridays you can see naked boys singing - it's karaoke night. Who cares if they can't carry a tune as long as what you see is what you get? Saturdays you'll be in for a naked treat; it's always hot Brasil go-go boy night. There are also special events, like foam parties. And the fees include entrance, towels, and slippers. (Take this nude enthusiast's advice, when they ask you to wear their slippers, wear 'em. I've done my share of the Slip & Fall because I couldn't be bothered with the slippers.) Reno's Relax is one of the more interesting establishments. There is plenty to see and do, including a unique vapor room with a special section for lying down - naked, of course - to take the steam. Naked travelers can certainly come up with other things to do while inhaling those vapors. There's a whole play area that includes the "swing of love" which is really a kind of sling. If the right Swiss banker comes along, you may just find yourself in the naked swing of things. There's more, including a bistro and a bar, TV rooms, private rooms, saunas, and an interesting bubble bath shower thing. It could be fun smoothing away all those bubbles to get back to the naked truth. One thing to note: Tuesdays and Fridays are when bisexual activities are permitted and women are admitted free. Find a flight to Zurich, smack in the middle of that little country nestled in the heart of Europe, and you may just lose your naked little heart.
