The name Hollywood conjures naked dreams of glamorous stars and decadent parties. West Hollywood calls up some hot and naked dreams of its own. When traveling to La-La land every naked traveler needs to put WeHo on his list of places to stay. A neat and justifiably famous gay enclave in the heart of all that Hollywood cinemagic can't be an accident. Gay people and show biz just go together. Completely surrounded by the rest of Los Angeles, this is a community of forty or fifty thousand people, many of whom (and maybe most of whom) are gay. There are plenty of naked delights to entice you when you tire of trying to spot elusive celebrity flesh. They say the population of this little town doubles when the sun goes down - delicious for the Naked Traveler. All the more to see and ... well, you know. The bars and clubs are the place to start your search for the buffed in the buff. And WeHo has more buff men than you can count. First, you'll want to make a reservation at The San Vicente Resort (gayresort.com), which they claim is the only clothing optional gay resort in L.A. With a 20-man steam room, clothing optional sun decks, a 10-man hot tub, a heated pool, and a private tropical garden, any naked traveler would find this the perfect place to stay. This is where to catch a row of men, glutes up, sunning themselves around the pool or any number of other naked sights. Oh, yes, rooms ... they have great rooms and lots of them. Reasonably priced, they all have their charms. The men and the amenities will make this a favorite. Once settled, you can start your quest for flesh at FUbar (fubarla.com), where every Saturday is Locker Room night with free towels, $1 drinks until 10:30 and then blackout at Midnight! Make sure to wear your infrared contacts in and those towels will come in handy. There's also an underwear contest when the lights (and the underwear) come back on. There's more; see for yourself. Here Lounge (herelounge.com) is a hot place to see men at play. With parties like Scratch and Sniff, Heat, and Size, you know you're gonna have a good time. Hot men with their shirts off, dancing the Hollywood nights away are only some of the sights you'll drink in at Here. For food, West Hollywood offers great places. One of the finest is The Abbey Food and Bar (abbeyfoodandbar.com). It draws a mixed crowd and delivers food that will keep you in shape but won't slim your wallet very much. At night, the bar turns into one of the hottest hot spots in town. Then you might like to try a bit of elegance at the East West lounge (eastwestlounge.com). Lots of music, lots of dancing and drinks that will satisfy your need for style but which will also curl your toes. For the nakedest of naked places, once again, you've got to head for the spas or saunas. There are a few. The Midtowne Spa (midtowne.com) on Melrose Avenue gives you plenty of opportunities to meet the denizens of WeHo: private rooms, lockers, showers, sauna, a whirlpool, a private sundeck and more. Flex, L.A. (flexbaths.com/losangeles) has a full gym, a heated swimming pool for those cool L.A. nights, steam room, sauna, private rooms, a sundeck, and a secluded garden where you might just get tempted beyond your means to resist. The Hollywood Spa (hollywoodspa.com/hollywood) is a big extravaganza of a place which will knock those proverbial socks off your feet. With 20,000 square feet of play space on three floors, this spa is worth a visit just to see the facility. But, you'll hang around for the many men who enter the playground. Steam rooms, saunas, private rooms, a Jacuzzi, an adult video lounge and a gym are just some of the things they offer. A great café also makes this a spa you'll love to frequent. The unique rooms feature a see them/see you kind of window. With the lights off, you can see out but no one can see in. With the lights on, they can see in but you can't see out. Of course, you'll want to do more than just look once you set foot in the door of this spa. Then there's Slammer (slammerclub.com) which is a classy sex club for men. Tuesdays are gym nights and you get a discount if you show a current membership card to any gym. And since so many people worship at their favorite gym, there are loads of discounts given. There are indoor and outdoor patio play spaces, early bird specials, and men, WeHo men. West Hollywood is worth a visit; it's a gay haven, a great diversion for naked travelers, and an almost legendary place to be. You won't be let down planning a trip to the heart of L.A.
