Booty and the Toys is not the latest gay boy band storming up the music charts. No, it is a sex toy film that has its moments of excitement, but unfortunately they are too far and few between.
    There are a lot of things about this film that make it go from arousing and sexy to silly and eye rolling in a matter of moments. When one thinks of sex toys, you expect dildos, anal beads, and butt plugs. Those are all here, but when Damon Phoenix shoves a Blow Pop sucker into Frankie Rattalee's asshole, the film — which I think was trying to be cute at this point — made me roll my eyes and want to skip to the next scene. It wasn't as funny as it should've been, but it did remind me of a 2 Live Crew concert I went to where the female dancers put lollipops into the coochies of fellow girl dancers.
    Then there's Hotboi and Jay Tornay who decide that super bouncy balls and plastic bowling pins have a recreational use as something that belongs up their butts. They actually make the scene funny because of their demeanor, comments and schoolgirl giggles, but the scene is just funny, not sexy.
    Then there are the technical aspects of the film, such as the editing. The first scene featuring would-be fashionista Japan Mizrahi and Bastian Knight is almost an hour long. In that hour they kiss and suck, but there is no ass play until 26 minutes into the scene. They dildo each other for about 10 minutes, and the rest of the scene is fucking.
    They start out with making a potentially hot scene, but the models' fire dies quickly, so it becomes monotonous. The same for Phoenix and Rattalee's scene — it's almost 35 minutes long, and it's okay, but nothing to write home about until they get to that silly sucker.
    The closest to exciting in this movie is the finale with Erec Estrada showing off his flexible ass with costar Rocky Mighty. Mighty fucks him, but also shoves an ear of corn and a bat up Estrada's accommodating ass, and the two actually seem like they're enjoying it, as well as each other's company.
    If director Ginetto Di Masolo was trying to make a film that had amateurish editing, a repetitive soundtrack, and camp sense of humor but little allure or sexiness, he's succeeded with Booty and the Toys.
