Dreams of Rafael, released late in 2006, is the debut feature from Rafael Alencar's new production company, Black Scorpion Video, and Alencar's maiden voyage as a director. Alencar's name first appeared in the pages of X-Factor in 2003, when he worked for Brazilian director Max Julien (Marcostudio). Almost immediately, he became internationalized, working for Pietro, another Brazilian director, then appearing in several Kristen Bjorn films and a Jocks Studio production. Studio 2000 cast him in several titles, including Gored, which garnered a Hard Choice Awards for his scene with Andrew Rubio, in which they fuck beneath not only an enormous crucifix, but a statue of the Virgin as well, and use rosary beads as a cock ring. After work for other major studios, including Hot House and Raging Stallion, where he was briefly an exclusive, Alencar started his own company in 2006.
    Dreams of Rafael is an auspicious beginning, with intelligent direction, terrific videography by Mr. Pam and a memorable soundtrack composed by Carlos Goh. A lavish home on the Florida coast, whose palm trees are permanently bowed by the offshore winds, provides an elegant backdrop.
    Alencar is chauffeured to this palatial estate by Antton Harri, at the wheel of a Hummer stretch limo. The long drive puts Alencar to sleep. He's wearing a suit and tie, but we never learn why he travels to this estate. Upon their arrival, Harri, who has been stroking a boner throughout the drive, climbs into the back seat to try his chances. Alencar seems bewildered upon first awakening, but readily consents to sex, which beings in the car, continues on the roof of the limo, and ends in the driveway.
    There's no one to meet or direct him, so Rafael finds his own way to a room where he freshens up, mystified by the appearance of a face in the mirror that does not exist in reality. Wandering down the hall, Rafael spots Blu Kennedy and Marcos Pirelli having sex in a lavish bedroom whose door is ajar. He peeps while Blu and Marcos suck, rim and fuck each other, neither able to get enough of the other's cock in his mouth or ass.
    Kyler Cox and Diego are naked at the bottom of the staircase, which is elaborately festooned with votive candles. Rafael's peeping Tom adventures continue as he watches them suck and rim each other up the staircase and into the bedroom where they fuck, Diego topping Tyler on the edge of the marble tub, also bedecked with candles. If you're not paying attention, you may miss the fanciful moment in which Rafael inserts himself into the scene, kissing Diego while Kyler sucks Diego.
    Wandering out to the balcony, Rafael spies the gardener, Sergio Del Castillo, and the pool man, Brian Bodine, as they succumb to their sexual urges. Rafael jerks off (but not to climax) as he watches these two studs suck and fuck each other at and in the pool, with underwater action shots and underwater cum shots.
    All of the cast members except Brian converge for a nine-man orgy, during which the estate's expensive furnishings are draped in white sheets. There's not much partner-swapping from the combinations at the start of the scene, but near the end there is a sensational nine-man rimming chain, with the models on their feet, their backs, their knees and in every imaginable configuration of linked limbs and torsos sprawled across the floor and furniture. In this scene, too, look for a brief appearance by the director as one of the orgy participants.
    In the final scene, Rafael meets Hans Hintern at the beach. Hans is the man whose face we saw in the mirror at the start of the film. They smooch among the seagulls, then walk hand-in-hand back to the estate, where they have sex in front of an incongruously roaring fire. There's lots of kissing in this scene, and dick play that appears heading for docking but settles for rubbing their leaking cock heads together and making a sticky glue that soon ends up smeared all over Hans' face. Alencar's magnificent physical attributes are served well by the camera: his enormous, almost purple cock, his award-winning ass, his pointed tongue probing Hans' hole.
    The film ends as equivocally as it started, with Rafael carrying his briefcase, wearing his suit and tie, walking down the steps of the mansion to await the arrival of the limo driver.
    If this is a taste of what Rafael Alencar's talent has in store for us, we can only wish him sweet dreams.
