When I reviewed Folsom Filth last year, I wondered who came up with something so provocative, disturbing and perverse, yet so stylish, sleek and beautifully twisted. I never thought another film could be made to rival it. Well, turn me upside down like Derek Da Silva and paint me blue! The third in Titan's Folsom Fetish series, Fear, lives up to its title and legacy with an intense, frightening and titillating four and a half hour exploration of fetishes, all filmed outdoors.
    That is one of the more perverse things about the director's expanded edit of the film. When people think of the woods, they think of getting away from it all, in a beautiful forest with sunny blue skies, and birds chirping in harmony. Yet, the action on the forest floor is nail-bitingly sadistic. Fear's scenes of breathing-control, fisting, scrotal inflation, water sports and other fetishes make mainstream torture films like Hostel and Saw look like a Disney musical.
    It starts with Brody Newport driving up on hikers François Sagat and Dean Flynn. They ask Newport for directions, and he gives them the wrong directions. Later, Newport catches up with his partners in crime Diesel Washington and CJ Madison. They kick back and reminisce about Derek Da Silva being chased in the woods by Tony Buff and Tober Brandt. Once Da Silva is captured, his captors humiliate him, punch and kick him. Da Silva winces in pain at the punishment. They brutally face-fuck him until he actually vomits, then fuck him. Just as Da Silva thinks they're done, they bind him from head to toe, string him up to a tree and dunk him like a prisoner of war into a tub of chilly water. As if torturing him to spill secrets, Brandt and Buff punch him in the balls and the stomach, then piss on him before they jerk him off, making Da Silva cum in his own mouth; then they shoot their loads again.
    After that intense scene, Washington, Madison and Newport talk about campers Rick van Sant and Lars Svenson crossing Dirk Jager's path. Jager isn't as cute and cuddly as he was in Titan's Shacked Up. Instead this uncut hairy stud has a maniacal Jack Nicholson in The Shining look as he forces the two to suck him. After the guys cum from being sucked, Jager takes them to his hideaway where Van Sant lies on a leather table. Svenson and Jager fuck him, then they take turns fisting Van Sant's elastic hole. Svenson gets almost elbow deep into his hole when Van Sant moves to a standing position for better access while Svenson's fist and forearm are still in him. Jager moves Van Sant to a rope sling where he and Svenson mercilessly gut punch Van Sant, who takes both fists inside of him before he gets fucked again.
    This hideaway is used later when Jager helps Alex Baresi, when his car dies. Jager spanks Alex's hairy ass until it's crimson, then delivers a relentless fucking followed by a golden shower. If things weren't wild enough, Baresi then administers a scrotal infusion to himself. This is not for the faint of heart — it took me a few viewings to watch Baresi stick a needle in his ball sack without covering my eyes. Once the infusion is done, his scrotum is the size of a grapefruit, and when he stands up his sack and cock almost look like a human heart. Anyway, Jager and punches it like a punching bag with one hand while he fists Baresi with the other. After getting pissed on one last time, Baresi goes on his way.
    The first disc ends with Washington and Madison pissing and fucking the daylights out of Newport on a pick-up bed. The first disc is excruciatingly hot and crazy, and as the film flows, it builds momentum, and each scene gets better, as evidenced in disc two's Baresi-Jager opener. Another thing I liked is that director Brian Mills has no boundaries when depicting the fetishes used in this film. I also like the fact that a lot of the models show a side viewers haven't seen before.
    When Flynn and Sagat realize they're lost, they get naked and fuck. I love when Flynn takes a piss, and Sagat puts his hand in the piss stream and rubs it on his body, which in turn makes Flynn hotter. The two suck and kiss, then Flynn fucks Sagat while Washington, Madison and Newport watch from the bushes.
    Once they cum, they're ambushed, which leads to an out-of-this-world finale of horror, piss, bondage and submission. Flynn is strapped into a chair while Sagat has a horse's bit clamped in his mouth as he hangs from a crucifix-like device tied to tree, with Washington almost drowning him in piss.
    Sagat cries out a muffled "Help!" with pain and fear on his face while Newport and Madison humiliate, taunt and drench him with piss. Sagat gets so frightened, he pisses in his jockstrap. Mills does an impossibly excellent job of making viewers squeamish, but at the same time making it incredibly erotic. As if things couldn't get worse (or better depending on your standpoint), the guys drag Sagat to a round table. It would be easy to fuck him mercilessly, but they punch, bitch slap, rim, face and ass fuck, piss and spit on Sagat while Flynn watches helplessly. The fucking is intense, but Sagat takes it like a champ, and then scene gets hotter when Washington shoots his load on Sagat's head, then licks it off.
    Mills again delivers a unique and jaw-dropping film that can only be described as uncomfortable and squeamish, yet at the same time is fucking hot, scintillating and seismic. Not only is Fear a film that invokes that emotion as well as makes your cock hard, it's also one of the best of the year.
    The two-disc set has additional footage of Buff, Brandt and Da Silva's cock and ball torture scene; cumshots, behind-the-scenes, trailers, interviews with Da Silva and Buff, and a hilarious episode of "The Tim & Roma Show: Fear."
