The fireman fantasy is very right-up-there with the military and cops. A strapping masculine man revealing the stunning body underneath that black and yellow uniform, while his shiny leather jackboots stir a twinkle in our eyes. He also has a big hose to put out the unbridled fires of passion burning uncontrollably in our loins. This is the fantasy played out in Active Firehose #1, a straightforward fantasy where fires of passion are as rampant as the libido.
The film is very stripped-down and simple. It has little dialogue, a paper-thin story about horny firefighters, minimal sets, yet it all leads to some damn good sex. Something I found odd was the soundtrack: during the oral portion of the scenes, the bumping' soundtrack was so loud it covered the models' sounds of pleasure. Once they got to the fucking though, the music was turned off.
One of the better things of the film is the models. Most of these guys look like Average Joes. A couple of the scenes have the look and feel of an amateur film, like some lucky schmuck was able to bed a fireman, so to capture the motion he secretly filmed it.
When we see John Nagel sucking on Scott Spears' fat piece, it feels like we've caught them in the act, in what appears to be someone's guest room. Nagel, with his thick moustache, and older appearance looks like he could be the battalion chief initiating his newest, and possibly his hairiest, cadet while on a lunch break at home.
Later we see Neil Prentice in his bedroom beating off when he's joined by Adam Sheridan. The clarity of the picture, the set, and the models looks amateurish, but I think that makes it hotter. It doesn't feel as set up, and the guys talk to each other naturally, rather than delivering their dialogue stiffly and monotonously.
While Sheridan sucks Prentice, suddenly out of nowhere Erick York and Rick Mercury appear, and the scene turns to those two sucking and fucking. This was confusing, but with eye candy like that, I couldn't complain, especially with York showing how firemanly he is by getting fucked and fucking while keeping his boots on. After they cum, we go back to Sheridan and Prentice as if they were never interrupted.
In some scenes, like that with Tom Vaccaro and Erik Schoemann, and the final scene with Rob Loug and Anthony DeMarco, the film heads more towards role-playing rather than being about firemen. Vacarro and DeMarco look like they're playing dress-up, but it's hard not to join in their fantasy. Both models keep their fire gear on for the most part during the sex. The only distracting part is Vaccaro, as well as Jake Russell, and later Nagel, all puffing on cigars, which seems more the part of leather daddy than fireman.
