If controversy, notoriety and publicity make buyers pluck down their dollars for the product that's causing the commotion, then Dark Alley Media should be very happy. Dark Alley's current release, Gaytanamo, is a sexually explicit parody about the detention and torture of political prisoners. A 30-second non-sexual clip from the film has been banned from YouTube.com and online debate about the appropriateness of the film in the first place has hackles raised all over Cyberspace. If you want to get yourself up to speed, DAM now has its own blog at www.DarkAlleyDirt.com.
Unlike most porn today, Gaytanamo is shot on film and has a score that combines Shostakovich with contemporary sounds. Newcomer Danny Fox is a tourist who is mistaken for an enemy soldier and kidnapped by a group of terrorists. Or are the kidnappers the "good guys" and Fox the misidentified terrorist? Countries and allegiances are left murky, although we hear the word "jihadist" spoken a few times.
Violator, who is the interrogator, confers with Owen Hawk about ways to elicit from Fox the information they believe him to be in possession of. Homosexual debasement is their first idea, and they make Danny watch (tied up and naked) on closed-circuit TV as Owen fucks Dominik Ryder. It's interesting that Danny is permitted to jerk off while he watches (with occasional assistance from Violator), and to climax.
The sex between Hawk and Ryder is visceral and raw, with Hawk a demanding and dominating top. The oral sex comes after multiple positions of fucking during which Ryder cums. Then Ryder sucks, rims, jerks and does what's necessary to assist Owen in reaching an orgasm which you suspect he's delaying because he's having so much fun with Dominik.
Homosexual debasement having failed to get the prisoner to talk — perhaps because the prisoner is homosexual and found it enjoyable — the captors decide to try drugs. Fox lapses into unconsciousness, but the drugs and the previous sexual stimulation launch some hellaciously hot hallucinations.
This first of these is a flip-flop fuck between pale-skinned redhead Tim Rusty and chocolate-skinned Tony Diamond. Diamond practically cracks Rusty open like a Dungeness crab to partake of his hole. Then Fox hallucinates Matthias von Fistenberg with Demetrius, another flip-flop fuck with the heavy-gauge Prince Albert in Matthias' cock adding interest. While they're busy fucking, a third cock appears, and cums in Demetrius' face. We never see the owner, but what's Violator been doing all this time? If you have the two-disc director's edit, you can watch a flip-flop fisting sequence with von Fistenberg and Demetrius, too.
Fox's final drug fantasy involves Owen Hawk with Jason Tyler, a guy we last saw years ago, taking an outdoor bath in a galvanized tub with Tag Erikkson. An elevated platform gives the camera room to maneuver as they suck each other and Owen fucks Tyler all over the set.
I've neglected to mention the various forms of torture inflicted on Fox during his captivity. He gets beaten, electrocuted, whipped and subjected to the same ball torture used on James Bond in the recent Casino Royale. Watch the DVD extras for the excruciating details.
When Fox still fails to reveal any information he's tossed naked into a cell with another naked prisoner, Sebastian Cruz. Or is Cruz just a plant, posing as another prisoner in a last-ditch effort to get info out of Fox? Either way, Fox wastes no time engaging in sex, including reciprocal oral and Fox bottoming, but not cumming.
There is magnificently feral sex in Gaytanamo, but with three of the scenes a drug-induced hallucination, it feels like the creators ran short of ideas. The darkness of the sets and the reddish lighting contributed to strong moiré interference patterns that I found distracting. The bitchy cleverness is a plus, not the least of which includes Hawk holding up a sign that reads "non Geneva Convention approved torture techniques" and a faux classified document (perhaps part of the press kit only), with redacted text, reporting on the atrocities alleged to be happening at Gaytanamo. It's a devilishly black concept with the kind of intense and realistic sex Dark Alley has made its name on.
Gaytanamo is presented in widescreen. Disc 1 has trailers; disc 2 has interviews, trailers, bonus torture, fisting and fucking scenes.
