There are so many porn films built around the idea of seducing and converting straight men, which makes one wonder if another film is made how could the idea be fresh, not tired or clichéd? It's been done in Hollywood with horror films thanks to the Scream trilogy and even the James Bond series. That's where director Jett Blakk steps in with How to Seduce a Straight Man, a tongue-in-cheek guide on how to get the gay man's forbidden fruit. While Blakk doesn't reinvent the wheel, he does reboot the theme with a very humorous and sexy film that shows it's easier to get that straight man that got away than you thought.
That's not the usual FBI warning at the beginning of this film. It's an unexpected warning advising viewers that "the seductions you are about to see have been performed by professionals," and not to attempt them at home unless you have a six-pack of beer. After that are four seductive scenes that could land the viewer a straight man to seduce — Tell sex stories to get them horny, get them drunk, if they talk about pussy more than anything, they're open to sucking dick, and lastly, the easiest one, let them see your porn stash. Even though these have been played out before in previous films, there's something fresh and funny about them.
That something is the models' acting. They do an excellent job of delivering the dialogues, and some actually play straight pretty well, like Jordan Vaughn, porn veteran Nick Capra, and even Zackary Pierce gives a pretty convincing role as a straight hitchhiker. It is kind of hard to believe that "straight guy" RC Ryan is totally wasted after six beers though. Either he's a lightweight or in the back of his mind was hoping his gay friend Adam Faust would make him forget his girl problems by introducing him to gay sex by playing drunk. Their scene is very familiar to many, and also hot. After Ryan passes out in Faust's bed, Faust tries to nonchalantly rub Ryan's hard, smooth chest and torso before getting him hard. Once Ryan wakes up and realizes what Faust is doing, the look on his face is "More! More! More!" rather than "What the hell are you doing?"
The other three scenes are just as hot, but have a twist. When Capra seduces Adam Archer in the hot tub, both guys give underwater blowjobs. The underwater lighting and filming are breathtaking as the two suck, and Capra later rims Archer, where at any minute they could be caught. They toss everything aside as Capra delivers a powerful fuck to very open-minded straight guy.
Later at the drive-in movies Christian Owen seduces Vaughn in the front seat of the convertible. Major kudos to Blakk for the idea, the minute detail, such as the actual intermission film footage you'd see at the drive-in, as well as the drive-in movie's dialogue in the background, and the filming of the action in a cramped convertible car. Both guys easily undress, suck each other, then Owen rims Vaughn's smooth ass in the small quarters. Vaughn easily maneuvers Owen for a hot fuck inside the cramped vehicle.
The final scene where Brett Mathews picks up Pierce is pretty hot, but a little random. At first Pierce rummages through Mathews' glove box and finds a gay magazine, then questions Mathews about which ladies he would do. Suddenly Mathews tells Pierce "any man who can dance is good in bed," and before you know it, they're at the beach looking in each other's eyes. They do the "Mancini Tango", which was choreographed by Mathews, so well that they should be on Dancing With the Stars, then we see them sleeping in the pick-up bed. Pierce wakes up and quietly starts beating off to Mathews' magazine, using a glow stick of all things as his light source. The sex and chemistry is great, and theirs is the only scene with kissing, but exactly where, out of the rest of the film, does the dance sequence come from or fit in? It's not horrible mind you, just random and out of place.
After the fantastic lesson on How to Seduce a Straight Man is finished, stay tuned for the closing credits to learn what became of these four straight guys.
The DVD features a Mario Cruz solo that should've been without a soundtrack, trailers, behind-the-scenes footage, cumshot and photo galleries, alternate version of "Mancini Tango", audio commentary with Jett Blakk and Jordan Vaughn.
