Andre Adair's In Too Deep has plenty of hustle but no flow. It's your basic SoCal pool orgy where everyone is required to fuck or be fucked by anyone present, and with the eight guys in the cast, it should have been a heck of a lot more exciting.
Blame the lack of flow on editing that suggests that the editor kept getting interrupted while he was working or he suffered an attack of A.D.D. And why is Mario Cruz listed as Mario Cruz on the DVD cover and the Web site but as Mario Ortiz in the DVD credits?
Tristan Mathews inaugurates the sex by sucking Dominik Rider. Rider responds by sticking his tongue, and then his cock, in Tristan's furry hole. The music goes away, so we can really hear these two talking dirty to each other. The camera moves here and there, so we know no one else is around. So far, so good.
Cut! We are suddenly watching the entire cast. Tristan is sucking Mario. Nick Marion is fucking Park Wiley. Kevin Aames is fucking Dominik and Bobby Williams is giving Lex Sabre a blow job. Even this does not last.
Cut! Bobby is getting his nuts sucked by Nick, who will fuck him in a moment. Everyone else has disappeared. But before this scene reaches completion, the entire cast is magically re-deposited on the set and everyone is doing something (or someone) else.
And so it goes, for another hour. The camera gets up close and personal with a duo or trio, while everyone else disappears, then everyone reappears and we're watching an eight-man orgy again, with everyone attached to someone new.
If a director is confident that he's found a dynamic pair or trio with good chemistry, why cut them off in favor of showing an orgy where the action and the viewer's attention are both spread too wide and too thin? Why get the viewer to work up a hardon over, say, Mathews going ballistic with Rider's cock in his ass, then pull the rug out and show something entirely different, never returning to that combination? The whole thing left me feeling robbed and unsatisfied, and that includes being deprived of the conclusion to Lex Sabre and Mario Cruz double-fucking Park Wiley.
The DVD has photo galleries, bloopers, interviews, trailers.
