Erik Rhodes, whose massive presence dwarfs anyone who shares the screen with him, is the leader of Ivy League, a secret society whose membership includes some of the most powerful men in politics, entertainment, sports — you name it. Each year his organization canvases college seniors around the country, to select three who will be invited to joint the organization. In order to pass muster, they must successfully complete an initiation weekend at the organization's secret HQ. Could this be how George Bush became a member of the Skull and Bones? We'll never know, because he's not allowed to tell.
    Rhodes prepares the invitations for the newly chosen candidates and hands them to his butler-secretary-chauffeur to deliver. That person is Martin Mazza, whose courteous inquiry whether his employer requires anything else is met with a predictable reply. Mazza and Rhodes enjoy a furious fuck with lots of robust ass licking, cock sucking and finger fucking. Mazza is the least ivy league member of the cast, but his sexual appetite and the voracity of his performance ought to earn him an honorary membership.
    When the candidates — Tony Martin, Ryan Wade and Zackary Ryan — show up for initiation, Rhodes gives them a cryptic explanation of his organization and a last chance to back out, then he sends each one off to meet his personal inquisitor.
    Ryan Wade's complete lack of wood really drags down his scene with Jason Adonis. Wade is splendid to look at and his clean-cut features and angular jaw make him a perfect ivy leaguer but if you are looking for wood, you'll have to settle for his picture on the DVD box cover. Besides the missing hardon, he has such trouble cumming that Jason Adonis leaves the set, either because he got tired of waiting or to give Wade greater privacy.
    Zackary Ryan gets paired with Eddie Stone, who looks handsomer than ever. Like his fellow grand inquisitors, Eddie ascertains that his charge thinks he's smart and that he's never had a sexual experience with another guy, then he lowers the boom. But whereas Ryan in the previous scene and Tony in the next scene actually suck a cock and get fucked, Zackary gets off easy. Yes, he bottoms in the finale but even then his mouth never strays nears anyone's cock or ass.
    The fucking is a success, thanks to Stone and to good camera work, but after Eddie shoots, there are several awkward seconds where he kneels on the ground and stares at the wall, as if unsure what to do next, while Zackary goes for his nut. Apparently someone gave Eddie the go-ahead to touch, because he subsequently commences rubbing Zackary's thighs.
    Roman Heart can do no wrong; even when he has clothes on, the temperature on the set rises when he's there. Tony Martin makes faces and claims he's "not into" what Roman wants, but he wants to be a contender, so he dutifully lowers his pants on Roman's command. Having a warm tongue up his ass proves surprisingly to Tony's liking, despite the melodramatic grimaces, the gripping of the balls on the pool table and the grasping of the cue stick as if he was going to break it or cosh Roman on the head.
    Heart gives Tony a dazzling rim job and a choke-it-to-the-base blow job, making Tony the luckiest member of the cast. He's also a fast learner, because he sucks and rims in return. In a development that's unexpected, Roman is also the top.
    The final component of initiation weekend is an orgy with Erik. Each of the candidates gets hot wax dripped on him and a black dildo shoved up his ass. After this half-hearted "ceremony," Erik sucks the cocks of each of them (Wade still doesn't have wood) and fucks Tony and Zackary. Wade has an erection epiphany and he later fucks Tony, too. There's a customary Falcon flourish, like a rimming train on the spiral staircase. Zackary, natch, is at the front of the line so he doesn't have to endanger his tongue or mouth. And when the inductees have to signal their obedience and loyalty by sucking the leader, Zackary manages to be elsewhere.
    Ivy League may be the most vanilla movie John Bruno has ever made, and one has to wonder how much better it could have been. Bruno has a knack for interesting dialog but too much of it was lost. If you have to crank your volume up to high or switch in a graphic equalizer to hear and decipher the dialog, then someone is not doing his job right. There were too many of those moments during the movie. Ryan Wade's erection problems were too obvious to overlook and the miscasting of Zackary Ryan only contributes to the bad rep of "gay for pay" models.
    Falcon is a studio that should set the bar, and that doesn't happen here. The story cops out by not subjecting Zachary Ryan to the same initiation, in both of his scenes, that his fellow applicants get. And there's no good reason for lost dialog or a model who can't get an erection. So while there's a lot about Ivy League to like, Falcon is cruising on its rep here.
