Studios do not always release their films in the same order that they shoot them, but the original Prowl was either the first or second film released by MSR Videos. Titan acquired the entire MSR library after the death of founder Tony Alizzi, and has been re-releasing these films two-by-two on DVD as the Manplay Double Pack series.
    The popular Prowl series, which eventually clocked in at five films, was filmed at the leather sex club of the same name in LA's Silverlake neighborhood.
    In the first Prowl, Eric York visits the club and reconnoiters before connecting with anyone. When he finds a leather vest covered with metal spikes, and puts it on, guys flock to him like bees to clover, all vying to suck his cock. The sucking is followed by a group j/o, then fucking.
    Former Phoenician Steve Pierce, who does not get more than a second look from Eric, has a rendezvous with a daddy who fucks him, then stretches the length and breath of his hole with a large dildo.
    That's Will Clark in the sling — sometimes blindfolded, sometimes not.
    The editing gets sloppy near the end, when things rush along a bit too fast and some of the cum shots you've been waiting for are saved for the closing credits. Novel, but not satisfying.
    Six of the seven cast members turn up again in Prowl 2: Go In Deeper. This time it's Steve Pierce on the prowl. Eric York, looking hot in leather and chains, with his cock poking out between the folds of a gladiator's tunic, finds a partner for the evening in Mason Flynt. York gets his butt cleavage laved then Flynt fucks him in a sling.
    Elsewhere, Eduardo, Patrick Ives and Griffin come together in a triangle of tangled flesh. Eduardo has the hardest-edged tan line since the youthful Jim Bentley. He controls the action in his group where, after miscellaneous kissing, tit-twisting and cock sucking, Eduardo mounts Griffin while Ives plants his face between Eduardo's white cheeks. Ives and Eduardo attempt a double penetration of Griffin, but it doesn't succeed for the viewer, either because they could not accomplish it or the camera failed to find a position to record it.
    Another three-way commences, with Joshua Scott and Will Clark sucking and licking the boots and balls of burly daddy, Joe Dixon. Dixon spits beer onto Scott and Clark as he tells them what to do. Dixon himself directs his attention first to Scott's muscular glutes, plundering them with a dildo, then with his cock. Then he does likewise to Clark.
    Pierce then connects with Chase Allen and Patrick Ives. Ives gets the initial attention, with Allen sucking his dick and Pierce tonguing his hole, then Allen grabs a two-headed dildo and plants one end each in Ives and Pierce. A bigger dildo finds its way easily up Steve's ass, followed by Chase's cock. Every three seconds, the configuration changes until everyone jerks a load out of his exhausted cock.
    It seems that everyone tries too hard to make the sex work, with York-Flynt the most successful. The takes throughout are spliced together in three- to five-second sequences, which makes for a lack of continuity that becomes annoying.
