In The Boys From Oz, Oz is not found over the rainbow, but down under. Director Mike Esser, who distilled the essence of male sensuality into so many soft-core Greenwood Cooper productions a dozen years ago is now making terrific hard-core films in Australia.
Kristian Winter and Jake (surname Harvey on the box; surname Braxton on the DVD) live in a spacious sun-drenched home on the coast, where they can watch the breakers from their porch. On this particular morning, they will be descended upon by workmen, meter readers and deliverymen of every stripe, but with one thing in common: the need for cock.
Jake and Kristian wake up with hardons, but not with the time to exercise them (although it appears that Jake is ready for a wank while Kristian brews the coffee). Spikee's insistent banging on the door precludes any notion of sex. He's there to read the meter which, conveniently, in located in the bedroom closet. When Spikee emerges, Jake is provocatively splayed out across the bed with nothing between his boner and Spikee except sunshine.
While they wrinkle the sheets, Jayden Cox and Andy Stone arrive to work on the TV cable. They get distracted by the porn they find, but Kristian can't stick around for the fun, because someone else is knocking at the door. Pool boy Jeremy Klein is only too willing to take Kristian's place.
Cover model Rick Chester has come to deliver a package, and when Kristian greets him with "nice package," what's a poor deliveryman to do but follow him inside and fuck his brains out?
We're on the wrong continent for this to be the Hotel California, despite the fact that no one who arrives ever leaves. Once Jake and Kristian have finished with the meter reader and the deliveryman, respectively, they finally connect back in their bedroom. But the deliveryman gets sidetracked by the cable guys, sticking around to bang Jayden while Andy goes for a dip in the pool, where he connects with meter reader Spikee, who had the same idea.
If you haven't seen enough sex by now, you still have one scene coming. Andy, having shagged Jayden and Spikee, is ready to go, but the sight of Kristian lounging on a day bed overlooking the ocean is too much to resist. And drops his coveralls and piles on.
With so many studios now producing films that have only four scenes, The Boys From Oz has seven, and every one of them is a scorcher. The men are toned and handsome — and a bit too waxed and plucked — but the sexual energy is amazing and many of the models are versatile. The sex is vanilla, but there's a full repertory of sucking, rimming, ass play and fucking. If there were a gayporn award for Best Ensemble, The Boys From Oz would win it. Maybe next year, I'll create one.
The widescreen DVD has behind the scenes, exclusive gallery, trailers of other Alpha Males titles.
